On March 16, 2026, Azania Bank launched an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) as part of the bank’s strategy to bring banking services closer to its customers.
Speaking during the launch, Ms. Catherine Mwakatobe, the Guest of Honour and Chief Executive Officer of AICC, stated that the presence of the ATM at the location will significantly address the challenge of access to financial services that had been facing stakeholders and visitors to the centre.
On his part, Mr. Yahaya Mbanka, Director of Business Development at Azania Bank, added “The installation of this ATM demonstrates our commitment to continuously expanding banking services in a convenient and efficient manner for our customers. Given the high number of visitors and business activities taking place at this centre, we believe this ATM will facilitate easy and secure access to cash at any time it is needed,” said Mr. Mbanka.
He further noted that Azania Bank continues to invest in various service delivery channels to reach its customers more conveniently, including through its branch network, agents, digital platforms, and ATM machines.
The bank also extended its appreciation to the AICC management, led by the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Christine G. Mwakatobe, for the collaboration that made it possible to successfully install the service at this important international centre.
The launch of this ATM is part of Azania Bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance access to financial services for its customers and stakeholders, contributing to the growth of economic activities in the country.
