In honor of International Women’s Day 2025, Azania Bank celebrated the occasion with a series of impactful events in Arusha, highlighting its commitment to supporting women and their communities.
VISIT TO
Moshono Mother and Child Health Center
Azania Bank’s celebration began with a visit to the Moshono Mother and Child Health Center, located in the Arusha City Council. The bank donated essential health equipment to the center, which was warmly received by the Arusha Regional UWT Chairperson, Flora Zelotte, and the center’s Medical Officer, Dr. Mayombo Charles. During the visit, Azania Bank staff had the opportunity to interact with mothers, learning about their challenges and triumphs.


A Special Dinner
Celebrating Women
On the 7th of March 2025, Azania Bank hosted a special dinner to honor its female clientele. The guest of honor was Hon. Emmanuela Kaganda, Babati District Commissioner. During the dinner, Azania Bank’s Managing Director, Esther Mange’nya, expressed her sincere gratitude for their trust and support. She also encouraged guests to take advantage of the opportunities offered through the bank’s FANIKISHA account, an tailored toward women. The evening featured several seminars aimed at empowering women, including topics on financial literacy, health literacy, and other vital areas. The intimate gathering allowed attendees to share personal stories, experiences, and aspirations, further strengthening the bond between Azania Bank and the women it serves. Award of recognition were also handed out to customers.

The Government’s Official Celebration
On the 8th of March 2025, Azania Bank joined the government’s official International Women’s Day celebrations in Arusha. The bank participated in a vibrant march through the streets, alongside government officials, community leaders, and citizens, all united in celebrating women’s achievements. The march concluded at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium, where President Samia Suluhu Hassan delivered an inspiring speech as the guest of honour.
