Azania Bank Plc is a commercial Bank incorporated and operating in Tanzania. The bank serves a range of customers from corporate customers to retail customers. Since its inception, the bank has grown successfully into one of trusted banks in Tanzania, serving their customers through 25 branches, 11 mini branches, 7 standalone bureau de change, 36 ATMs and more than 5,000 agencies throughout the country.
This is the first time the bank is issuing corporate bond to the market. This issuance is aligned to the bank’s Strategic Business Plan (2023-27).

Application Procedures
At the bank branches, the procedure for processing applications received shall be as follows:

Application Form
An applicant wishing to apply for the Bondi Yangu must complete the application form in accordance with the instructions contained therein and sign.
Once the application form has been completed in accordance with the instruction contained therein, an applicant shall be required to make payment for the applied Bondi Yangu.

Payment
Payment shall be made by directly depositing the required amount into Bondi Yangu Collection Account Number 033000001881 held with Azania Bank Plc or sign an internal transfer form or deposit a cheque in case of existing customers. Payment can also be made using the available Bank’s alternative channels i.e. Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, etc.
Applicant shall surrender a duly completed application form accompanied by proof of payment at the respective bank’s branch. The applicant shall remain with the stamped leaf detached from the application form or copy of the form for presentation as evidence during collection of the depository receipts.

Submission
All application forms accompanied by proof of payment shall then be forwarded to Banks’ Head Office (Treasury and Capital Markets Directorate) in batches for further processing on weekly basis.

Important Notes on Applications

Denomination
Bondi Yangu is denominated in TZS and therefore all payments should be made in TZS.

Minimum Investment
The minimum amount allowed for investment into Bondi Yangu is TZS 500,000.00 and thereafter in an integral multiple of TZS 10,000.00. If the amount applied for is not in multiples as set out and stated above, the application will be rejected.

Irrevocable
All applications are irrevocable once submitted and are bound by the terms and conditions as outlined in the Information Memorandum.

Payment
All payments should be made via Bondi Yangu Collection Account Number 033000001881 held at Oysterbay Branch. -
Posting
Posting into this account should be done with proper narration i.e. full names of the applicant and the transaction reference number are captured correctly on top of the application form for easy of reconciliation.

No Transaction Fee
There are no transaction fees as all costs relating to the issue of Bondi Yangu have been covered by the issuer (Azania Bank Plc).

Minors
Minors are permitted to apply for Bondi Yangu with the assistance of their parents or a legal guardian who shall be obliged to sign the application form on their behalf. CSD accounts for minor application should start with Parent/Guardian name ITF Minor’s name to identify minor’s application and parent/guardian should attach both his/her ID together with minor birth certificate.
